The boys of summer are here and pumped!!!!!!! Kale and Barett had their first official baseball game Sunday, and were shaking with excitement. But, you wouldn't have guessed it given they wore their uniforms to bed the night before and all day Sunday. Sparing the details they did well, both getting hits (coach pitched) and not having to use the tee. The comedy came when Barett hit the ball and was so excited that when told to drop the bat and run he made a b-line across the pitchers mound to 2nd base. Cute right...oh have no fear we have the video someday when he decides to play in the big leagues :0) After 2 whole innings the game was over and 2 little boys were grinning from ear to ear "we're real baseball guys now mom"
Later that night we joined Dave's family for pizza and cake for Dave's dad's birthday. The boys ate their fill and got cake to go. On the way home Kale asked if he could have his cake, I told him probably not it was late and we would have a "light snack" and then off to bath, books, brush teeth and bed. When Kale inquired again if that meant "no cake mom?", Barett piped in "NO KALE, CAKE IS A DARK SNACK!" We almost wrecked the car...typical B!
